Nick Laird initially intended to be a lawyer, and after school he worked at a London law firm for years before deciding it was time to focus on his writing. The Northern Irish author seems to have made the right choice in life, as his two novels and three collections of poetry have been prize-winning successes.
His newest collection, “Go Giants,” features his signature blend of sweeping scale and contemporary pop-culture-steeped language. He reads two selections for us, “Epithalamium” and “Go Giants.”
