Each year, Seattle’s beloved music-focused public radio station KEXP sets up shop at the Iceland Airwaves music festival to take in not just the natural majesty of Iceland, but also for a sampling of some of the most interesting music around, from Iceland and around the world. We couldn’t make it to Reykjavik this year, but thanks to KEXP we discovered the work of musician Júníus Meyvant , who critics like Kevin Cole are labeling an “Icelandic Bon Iver,” but with a bit more bounce.
